Ah serendipity… Our very last blog post was about how Vintage is most certainly not dead and right after that we are featured in Vintage Bride. The world just works sometimes.
But yes!! We are so proud to say that we have a beautiful write up in Vintage Bride that went out online on the 25th of November that also spruiks the amazing loveliness that is the Mudgee Region.
Didn’t get a chance to read it? Here it is… (http://vintagebridemag.com.au/vintage-inspired-country-weddings-in-mudgee/)
We’re not saying Vintage is dead. It may have had its hey day, but it’s not completely without a heart beat just yet.
Instead, it’s being slowly added to, altered and given then breath of life with some eye wateringly beautiful new trends that we LOVE.
First things first; the florals.
We’re seeing a romantic return to the more traditional weddings set ups and this includes loads and loads of gorgeously fresh flowers. The flowers are more country and poetic in their feel and go well beyond simple roses. There’s a naturalness and rawness about them that makes them so breathtakingly beautiful. Not to mention the gorgeousness of the flower crowns that still steal our hearts.
SPOILER ALERT! It can actually be cheaper than a fixed venue!!
There is a misconception out there that marquee weddings are (because they are so incredibly, awe-inspiringly beautiful that they must be) very expensive.
When in fact, they can be more cost effective than a fixed venue! The average cost of a wedding in Australia at the moment is over $30,000. Crazy!! Fixed venues will have set costings for food, drink and venue hire that you just can’t get around. Whereas, with a marquee you can pick and choose pretty much everything from start to finish which means you can save money at each and every turn.
There are so many elements of a wedding to consider. Guests, attire, venue, styling, invites… and one of the most important ones is the photographer. Professional photography is one of the best ways to capture the memories, feelings and love you felt on the day that you can then keep forever.
But how is the photographer supposed to capture the perfect moments in amongst your guests outstretched arms and iPhone cameras?
This dilemma has been hilariously summed up by Brian Reilly, a professional photographer in Ontario, Canada. Have a read of what he recently posted to Facebook.
So many of our recent customers have asked us where we service. They had no idea that we service anywhere other than Mudgee!
So here we are to clear things up. The short answer is, we service ALL of NSW and the ACT.
The average wedding (according to the most recent stats) is around $36,000. A wedding in Sydney averages around $70,000. Yet here in Mudgee and in the Central West, the average costs of a wedding is around $10,000. A third of the cost!!
Imagine your most spectacular countryside, vineyard, private property, winery as the backdrop for your most special of days… at a third of the price of anywhere else in the country!
This season has been one of our more spectacular ones and one thing has become very clear… rustic/vintage/country styled marquee weddings are still the number one decorating theme and are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! We are so proud to have been involved in so many stunning weddings that have kept this gorgeous style.
Are you having a wedding soon? Need some inspiration for your big day? Here are our top country / rustic weddings for you to browse and plagiarise :).
Marquees are exquisitely beautiful but they do seem like a lot of extra effort when you could simply select an existing venue for your wedding or event. For Marquees, you need to create a fully functioning venue space from quite literally nothing… no wonder people get overwhelmed by the idea.
So why would anyone choose a Marquee?
Basically because they take your event from a standard evening to something more brilliant than you could have imagined… Here are our top five reasons to pick a Marquee event.
After months of planning, waiting, creating, building and designing, our showroom is FINALLY open! WE’RE IN!
We couldn’t possibly be happier with the results. The room is still not quite big enough to showcase everything that we have on offer but it’s enough room to really show off what we do. And so far, the response has been exactly what we were going for. Our customers have been blown away by the options, gorgeousness and sheer volume of equipment we have to hire.
Come in and visit us soon to see just how incredible our new space is. We’re at 87 Lions Drive, Mudgee.
We can’t wait to see you!
One of the most important things to many brides is the uniqueness of their special day. It comes down to your theming and the little things you add to your guests experience that will stick in their memory and make your wedding truly unique.
One of our recent brides wanted a rustic, charming and country themed wedding with lots of entertainment for her guests. The team at Domayn suggested creating a Silhouette Station for her and her guests to take pictures with and she loved the idea.
